Re: Wot' No Jaysay?
Anybody know which ward John is in?
I have an hour to spare at the Royal Blackburn tomorrow so I could go and introduce myself. I will be there after 8AM Thursday. |
Re: Wot' No Jaysay?
Keeping my fingers crossed that he's ok. It would be great to have an update from someone who goest to see him.

Re: Wot' No Jaysay?
I have had a Pm from a member with the ward details. It is the same ward a mate was in a months ago and they let me in for a few minutes at 8.45 AM.

I'm really sorry to hear Jaysay is in hospital - hope you're feeling better soon John and are able to go home, I've missed your comments!

Re: Wot' No Jaysay?
Yes, Gremlin...ask him if he wants me to come and do a bed bath for him........It is a decade at least since I last did one, but I'm sure it is like riding a bike........I'm sure I could do it if someone gave me a clue or two.

Re: Wot' No Jaysay?
I have just left jaysays bedside,(8.45 AM) he was cheerful enough and we had a good chat.
I am not in a position to comment on his health because I have never seen him before and don't know how he usually is health wise. He hadn't a clue who I was when I walked into the single ward he is in and offered him a newspaper but once I introduced myself he soon started chatting. It seems he had a bad time with his COPD at weekend and he accepts he is now in the best place, for the time being. He thanks you all for you good wishes and says Margaret is welcome anytime with the bucket and sponge if she wants to give him a bed bath. I couldn't stay long because the ward was closed to visitors and I had my wife waiting downstairs. We had been to see the heart consultant and he is very pleased with my wife's progress, it looks like she has longer to live than he originally estimated. Next thing she will be wanting new clothes now she has time to wear them. |
Re: Wot' No Jaysay?
Ah that was very nice of you to pop in and see him, glad he is feeling as well as can be expected
