Too Sad To Get A Girl?

Then get a vodaphone.
Anyone else think perhaps vodaphones' latest ad using Yoda is giving the wrong impression?
There's Yoda talking to a young man about training him, all this guy can do is prattle on about the great deals for 'phones then he admits he hasn't had a girlfriend in three years, no wonder Yoda gives up on him.
:)

I would have put a link to the ad' but I can't find it, can anyone else?

Was it vodaphone who also did the 'Stereotypes' advertisement? Showed a woman in a greenhouse saying "Can I get one, I'm a vegan?" And a girl in a studio getting a spray tan asking "Can I get one, I didn't get any qualifications?"
And some other similar things. Sorry only seen it once, cannot remember any further details!
It did grate on me a little ,similarly to this one-but hey we're talking about it!That's what they want.

Re: Too Sad To Get A Girl?

I was in Manchester midweek and the charity folk were out in force - not exactly 'chugging' but asking folk to send a text message to support some charity or other(the text message was free to send) the girl looked at me like I had two heads when I told her that I didn't have a mobile phone.
I do have a mobile, but it is only used when I take Ma anywhere - other than that it languishes at home in the drawer.
I hate mobile phones...no, hang on, that's not quite true. I hate the way folk have become attached to their mobile phones...and use them loudly in public places.
Do I really want to hear a chap having a row because his wife/girlfriend or significant other, has not ironed his work shirts?

Along similar lines I find it totally strange when someone in a pub or cafe gets a call, excuses themselves from the company they are with and so as not to disturb their friends move away from the table to answer it.
Yes, it's only manners not to disturb ones friends, but why is it o.k. to walk and stand next to my table talking loudly not considering the disturbance they are causing to people on that table?

Did I say manners? I must have meant the height of ignorance.
:o

Is that any different to 2 people having a loud discussion or argument in a public place?
Or do you like to hear both sides of the conversation? :p

Neil on this occasion, I could hear both sides of the conversation..including the expletives...and yes, it is subtly different, but I can't explain how exactly.
Maybe it is a generational thing......and maybe, when you get to my age you will have adopted your own idiosyncracies.
