Fault-a fusion of ;
A) Past 'Newbies' who are either trolls and/or ex-members who were banned for good reason.
B)Current member's attitudes-taking their experiences with the above and tarring other new members with the same brush!

Well we were all new at one time so we've all faced the various challenges & aspects presented. Some get their knocks harder than others while there's those folk who seem to breeze through it all with a permanent grin on their chops.

So I suppose it's down to the individual & how they're prepared to interact & respond, as some buck toothed owd bird used to say "That's Life". :)

Whilst i think this is a very sensible post fer anything goes, n can agree up to a point, I would say, i always welcome a new member that takes the trouble to introduce themselves,I also find most of those yeh mention in (A) rarely do take that trouble,;) But no-one is compelled to do so, So therefore i will continue to be suspicious of certain first posts, rightly or wrongly,thats me simple as.

If we continue to greet new members in this way, with suspicion and nasty words, and then treat the people who defend the new members with the same name calling, how is the site to prosper, you will be left with a core of vinegar spouting people.

How is this suspicion of new members, its also slagging of the people who defend the new members. So the argument that this is just against new members is a load of tosh. New members should be allowed a few posts along with mistakes, before the nasty boys get together and force another person off site, and people are leaving due to this attitude.

It's the fault of the 95% who don't give a flying you-know-what:cool:

And the other 5% are probably in on it too.:)

So ... the newbies are random mutants. How does the selective retention come about.:confused: And at what point do we now stand in the evolutionary process?

Margaret Pilkington 30-11-2012 19:49

Re: Who's Fault Is It?

Yes, the forum does evolve, but sometimes things get nasty for no real reason.
This makes it less pleasant to visit.......and before you all say 'well stay away then' the site needs balance...what it doesn't need is nastiness to any member..new or old.
If we, as a group, cannot get on amicably, what hope is there for the world out there?

No hope!
