Not an Accy Stanley thread

Just looked at New posts all of them seem to be Stanley threads.

Is there something going on that those of us that don't know one end of pitch from one end of a bitch?

Should know?

I daren't enter the Stanley section, don't know enough,

Could someone come out of there and explain it simply to one of the guys that always tried to be 'left outside' when football was compulsory at school?

Thank you in anticipation.
:D

I pop in to take a look Less, Stanley have a few problems and are fighting to stay in the league, thus the reason for so much activity in the Stanley section

Two points adrift at the bottom of the league, wages weren't paid at the end of Feb due to cashflow problems, although our saviour, Ilyas, has once again stepped in and sorted that problem out. Our home match against Barnet tomorrow is therefore a must-win scenario. The chairman is asking the town to get behind the club and cheer them on to victory.

Couldn't possibly interest any of you, even those to whom football is a closed book, in coming along, could I?

I bought a Stanley hat recently. I know very little about football. Sometime in the past I thought offside meant it went off the pitch and it was a throw in. I love the confused look on the faces of those that know me well enough to wonder why I am wearing one.

All you have to know about football is that there are four downs in the NFL, but only three in the CFL.;)

It's been over half a century since I stood soaked and shivering at Peel Park, while my grandad loudly informed the lads that they were "lakin' like a bunch of owd washerwimmin.":D But I wish Stanley the best:dancedog:

Ah well, it was worth a try.

Pity you're not here, Eric, I'm sure you'd have enjoyed the craic with Cashy and me and the lads.

Seems a shame to not use the hat to it's full potential Restless, & you don't need to know a lot about football to come & cheer Stanley on - you might even enjoy it a little bit :)
If the prices are putting anybody off, our game v Wimbledon this coming Tuesday is only a fiver admission, could be used as a kind of taster session if anyone's not so sure?
