I don't think I will bother Jen.
I like proper fish and chips...just like the ones we had last week in Llandudno.
The fish was Moby Dicks bigger brother...the tail hung over the large size dinner plate.
I was stuffed fit to burst by the time Ihad eaten it.......I should have joined at one with one of the tinlids.

The M&S version(although made in Yorkshire) looks a bit arty farty for me.

Some of the things are just the same price as ASDA.
I ran out of High juice cordial(I don't drink fizzy pop very much)......I was on my own and didn't feel like a hike over to ASDA....so I went in M&S and bought t heir version...it was exactly the same price....and it was delicious.
I also buy their extra strong leaf tea. Yes it is a bit dearer, but it lasts longer because I don't put nearly as much in the pot to get a good brew of tea...so in the long run it is cheaper.

Was in Hastings a few weeks ago, home of Europes largest beach launched fishing fleet so I am told.
Had Fish and Chips out of a shop on the front, sat on a bench in the fading evening light keeping a beady eye out for the seagulls.

Did they taste good? Not half !!! :)

They always taste better at the seaside(well the exception to that is perhaps Blackpool)...and in the open air.

But definitely not in a pie!

With a minted pea puree??? - No thanks, what's wrong with plain old mushy peas, I agree with Margaret, definately an arty farty take on a traditional meal, not for me I'm afraid

Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea, as long as they can make the crust look like newspaper ... ;)
