Well, what I mean is...

I had been out, at my local, time came to go home, hunger needs feeding, I'd said goodbye to the folk I'd been out with and was just crossing the threshold on my way out of the pub.

Text message from a friend:-

Are you in pub or at home?

I replied with:-

In pub,

I did a U turn bought another pint expecting a message along the lines of, O.K. I'll join you.

What did I get?

Oh right, if you'd been at home I'd have called around, I've got a video for you, I'm driving can't drink.

If he'd only used the 'phone, I would have got home sooner, he could have dropped off the movie, as it is, I await the next message which will no doubt lead to enough confusion causing us not to meet tomorrow as well.
