I enjoy quizzes but i only have use of my phone at the minute due to my laptop going on the blink.I may well join the quiz league once it's sorted though.
I knew I'd be beaten (I've more to learn than most members) but 13-14 that's just dismal on my part :(

I think it was the Scottish battles that threw me...I guessed at those.

Well done, Margaret. I’m old but it hasn’t worked in my favour, I only got 8 correct and two of those were absolute guesses. I missed by one Harold but was correct with the battles. I beheaded the wrong wife and because I know the 100 years war lasted 116 years I gave the 30 years one an extra year. I also gave Guy Fawkes all the glory for ‘the scheme’.

Mind you, I have lived in the antipodes for almost 58 years and spent a lot of time under a hot sun, so maybe I can use that for an excuse. Addled brain.

no, I didn't misread them......I didn't know them, so I just guessed...and guessed wrong. if it had not been multiple choice I don't think I would have done anywhere near as well as I did.

I read a lot of historical stuff and some of it sticks, but I knew diddly squat about the Scottish Battles(even though by a fluke I did get one of them right...it was the one won by the English).
