Thank you all for your kind wishes, I'm sorry I'm a bit late replying. To be honest I've not been on the web much lately, not because I've fallen out with anybody, that's not my nature.
I had a quiete day until 7pm when I had a couple of pints in Read con.
I have a little secret to tell you.
In 1952 I was attending Todmorden Grammar school and had to learn to dance and escort a girl to the Christmas party. We went around for a while but her father bought a shop in Rochdale and we lost touch.
Last November she saw my post on the Grammar school web site and got in touch.
She lives near Lincoln and is a successful artist but her daughter lives in Todmorden.
We met before Christmas and it was just like 63 years ago.
She's selling her bungalow in Lincoln and buying one in Todmorden but staying with me a few days a week and her daughter the rest.
I'm over the moon at having her back and she is great company to be with and it's nice to have somebody in the house.
It's three years since my lovely wife died and it's not been easy accepting anybody else but I have managed to overcome my guilt.

The future is looking bright and my friends and family are very happy for me and have all told me how brighter I have been lately.

So once again thank you for your kind remarks.

I'm really am happy again and never thought I would find love again.
It's amazing that after all those years we both felt the same way.
I hope she won't mind me telling you all but I'm so pleased.
When we got out of our cars and met for the first time in Todmorden market car park we put our arms around each other before we even spoke and she sobbed on my shoulder.
I filled up as well.
