Kissing couple set new record

A German couple have set a new world record after kissing for exactly 31 hours.

The love-struck pair engaged in the public display of affection without a break as they overcame the previous record of 30 hours, 59 minutes and 27 seconds.

The feat occurred at the Bavarian Kissing Championships and unsurprisingly Pamela Stern, 19, and Matthias Brandstetter, 24, from Thalmaessig near Nuremberg were crowned king and queen of the event.
