Easter Present

Re: Easter Present
Who are we to criticise others for not showing due reverence and respect for our Christian culture and variance of religion in this country. This has got to be those bloody Americans again…..Maybe they can do a version that represents the life of friends and aircrew being blown out of the sky’s by their missiles next, or how about really going to town and show Israeli tanks shooting Palestinian children in refugee camps. I like the freedom to laugh or cry at ourselves for our own idiosyncrasies but why oh, why do we continue to allow these idiots to set us up. People don’t continue to beat up the Muslims for defending there faith from what they see as infidels and disrespect, when the ******* infidels themselves show such irreverence and disrespect for our own religion.

Re: Easter Present
That must be the most tasteless thing I have ever seen in connection with Easter.

Re: Easter Present
Blimey. Everyone seems in the whinging mood today. I can't see 'out wrong with this, other than the fact it's restricted to 3 characters. Bring on the guv'nor Pilot, Barrabas, and the High Priests servant who has his ear chopped off, and Judas slinging his silver around. Will they be coming in Cornflakes packets?

Re: Easter Present
Hmm is it for real or just some old barbie/action man dolls re-dressed to look like that?

Re: Easter Present
It’s crass and offensive to some people and I think at this time of year respect for those individuals is important. Don’t get me wrong I pi**ed myself when I use to watch Dave Allen and Billy Connolly’s Christians Sketch was the funniest thing I can remember as a kid. I agree with less to a point in that 2000 years ago the crucifixion was in itself a tasteless act and this was some ones idea of humor. Although I’m not sure that God himself “like us” would have a chuckle at some poor Jews and a couple of Christian and a son being nailed to a cross.

Re: Easter Present
LMAO truely wish I had thought of it first, I remember in the 80s there was a shop in Vegas that sold relgious items you could buy a habit or a robes anything to do with the bible and they sold a Jesus doll that had holes in its feet and a tube with a pump thing on the back and it said take it in to the bath with you and pump the back and watch the doll walk on water. Had to buy one I think its still in the attic at my dads house.
Got to be those Americans again............. or maybe one of those really close countries that support the UK so much like France or Germany, no you know the English speaking ones that never critise us like Australia or Canada the ones that actually send there troops to war or may not. |

I cannot speak for God but I know that if I saw something making a mockery of the pain and suffering of a child of mine I wouldn't be having a little chuckle at it. I'd probably be shedding a tear. I don't want to turn this into a religious debate because I don't think that's what AccyWeb is all about but this is the only post I have come across which makes me feel so saddened. |
