Can anyone settle our arguement?

Now my Dad say's that either Butch Cassidy or the Sundance kid came from Accy,now I think he is wrong,does anyone know? We both like anything to do with the Wildwest and Cowboys, we would like to know as it's getting to blow's!:) ,alot of Northern folk settled in America with some of them setteling in the south and "Hillbilly's" are likely to have been from around this area of England,are we right?
