Accident waiting to happen.

Bad accident on the little bridge between Ferngore & ossy. Looks like the car swerver off the road and hit the tree. It was only a matter of time on that road, why dont they widen it. There is plenty of land on the left hand side to make it wider. The amount of 'road rage' I have seen on there too when, you get two drivers that won't back up for the other..............who says which one has to??.

The road is always wet there also, not sure whether it is coming from the house that sits on the hill above the road, but it is damn slippy which isn't good on such a narrow road.

Is this the road where there are passing places at the Fern Gore end?

The amount of road rage is proportional to how effective the 'Traffic Calming' measures are and inversly proportional to how safe the road has now become.

In other words, people only suffer road rage under these circumstances because they are frustrated by the road having been made almost unusable in the pretence to make it safer for pedestrians, but any so called 'Traffic Calming' that forces drivers into a confrontational situation is neither safe for the motorist or the pedestrian, it usually involves what would normally be safe drivers playing 'chicken' to see who can make the gap first, thus causing them not to be as observant of any pedestrians that may be in the area.
