i'm not being funny but if he wanted a teaching assistants job surely he would know about the teaching magazine where all the jobs are advertised, i reckon he's dodgy

Teaching Assistant jobs are rarely advertised in the magazines, usually advertised locally, sometimes even without putting an advert in any kind of paper and just in the school newsletter.

The majority of teaching assistants are mothers, for whom the job coincides with the hours their child is at school/is not at school.

So the teaching magazines really wouldn't be a great deal of help, unless you wanted to go on a Teaching Assistant course.

Do you know anyone in the local schools John, who might have an idea what they need in their particular school? Mind you it's summer hols now but you could ask again when they start back.

try the lancashire county council site, they advertize school jobs on there, i have met john & his partener a few times they are great people!!!
