It's having knowledge of a certain software application ( Websphere ) that presumably is used by Express Gifts and presumably they have a vacancy for a person with that knowledge. The level of job does not make it suitable for the type of job normally served by jobcentre plus and therefore it's listed on a recruitment website that is used by recruitment agencies. :)

Yep, its what I do for a living. (although as a permie I don't earn that much :( , then again I get holiday pay, sick pay, longer than 6 months employment etc) The language you need to know isn't Polish its Jython, you need to understand and be able to design/build and debug WebSphere Application server with Network Deployment topology(IBM WebSphere Developer Technical Journal: Exploring new network topologies made possible by WebSphere XD and the On Demand Router) and J2EE applications. Knowledge of AIX, XML and SQL is also handy as is a bit of MQ and Message Broker.

I actually applied for this role as a permie job about 9 months ago but at that time they didn't really know what they wanted. In the end they wanted "Code Monkeys" rather than Infrastructure specialists like myself (Although I was a code monkey for 5 years I've not done any in anger for about 4 years). If I was still working at Accenture I'd have sent my CV in for it without doubt.
