"Looking for models" thread

We're always on the lookout for amateur models, but sometimes have specific requests. For example, occasionally a requirement comes up for a project that means we need a particular look. We also sometimes need models at a certain time, such as at the tail end of a student's work placement. The latest sudden requirement was at the start of the month when we wanted to exploit the turn in the weather.

Such modelling work is "paid for" with a half-dozen(ish) prints. Applicants agree to a model release, which means we can use the images for marketing and show them to anyone. There are a bunch of other conditions too, but they're not needed here.

What I'll do is put any new requirements to the end of this thread.

Tatooed Male Bodybuilder needed

Have an ideal candidate for a nude shoot, but he's well known in Great Harwood so doesn't want his a*se on display in the window. :dummy2:

Need someone tall with toned back muscles and (ideally) a tattoo on back or shoulder without words or other uniquely identifying motifs on it. Model would need to be photographed with at least one (fully clothed) female model, so bashful candidates need not apply. I could Photoshop the two individuals together, if it came to the crunch, but I'd rather not.

This shoot is aiming to yield just one image, so if it succeeds, the print offered as "payment" will be bigger than usual.

Serious responses by PM please- jokes and mocking can be added to the thread, though. :p

Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of your Contract? I feel I am ideal for this position except that, I am 5' 5", haven't worked out since leaving school at 15, nor have I got a tattoo.

I do however think that if you refuse me a photoshoot I will be able to sue your living out of you because you appear to be, sizeist, muscleist, and tattooist!

I also suspect that if I mention I am 97 years of age you will refuse me on the grounds of ageism. Over to you, you obviously prejudice swine!:D

May I suggest our Travis?

He is fairly muscly, though he may have a slight paunch, but he has no inhibitions about appearing totally unclothed. His natural expression is a rueful grin but he can, when requested, give a sharp and alert look. He doesn't have a tatoo but he would have no objections to a bit of decoration with a judiciously applied biro on his, otherwise, blank white canvas.

Travis will pose, happily, without clothes while accompanying clothed females and will not turn a hair. He will adopt any pose required, as long as he is rewarded with a biscuit.

Will it matter that Travis is a dog?

I need to see you & Corky sometime so we can sort out a wedding album. ;) I thought I'd try and get you in for our soon-to-be-renamed "trash the dress" but yours might actually suffer from a photoshoot in the blackpool surf or in the middle of the Ribble at Edisford Bridge. We've got another requirement at the moment, but you're too good looking for that one. We need a right munter for that.

We have requirements popping up all the time, but they are always discriminatory in some way. It sounds like you'd be ideal for my other need at the moment, though. Please refer to my closing comment to MrsKitty, above.
:hidewall:
Joking aside- I've got a sign in the window requesting volunteers for makeovers that can be used for one of my brides who's just qualified as a beautician. I'll be making up a portfolio for her. A lady came in last week to ask for more details and I had to be nice and tell her all about it, even though it was clear she wouldn't be used. She was wearing a niqab.

I'll keep him in mind if I have need of someone face down on a train covered in blood & tea... :D Hope he's better soon. Sounds like he needed a better blood supply to his head instead of... err.. where it ended up.

:p I was being "ironic"- my abilities with dogs are pretty much summed up with the icon I used.
Anyway - the two babes I was photographing this morning did pretty much anything I asked them to, which was a surprise since the shoot hadn't originally been expected to lead down that route just yet. Even the dog whisperer isn't that persuasive.
Then I had a 76 year old who came in for a shoot last week and continued the complex story of her love life today because she ran out of time back then.
Finally a 17 year old who wanted me to give her career and college course advice. I didn't get to eat my lunch 'til 5pm!

Re: "Looking for models" thread

You should contact the photography department at Blackburn college - think you may have some luck there -
Does the print they recieve have to be one of the pic you have taken?
Might seem a daft question but students will be willing to model for you in return for a quallity print of their own work - presuming you have access to good quality print/ one offs. Pm me if you are interested and I will have a chat with the tutor and pass on some details

Hi i my partner matches your criteria and has a great body. he has a tribal across his back but he also has a name at the top. This can easily be covered as he has got the tattoo cover up paint.

Please reply back, this would be a great oppourtunity for him and he doesnt mind getting his ar*e out! lol

regards

stacey
