Wesley Church and School
 

Here is a view of the Wesley, its main doors faced up Manchester Road. I vaguely remember being sent there, many years ago, on a Friday evening, to pay my grans "holiday club". There obviously must have been a savings scheme run from there. Looks like the "beginning of the end" for the Wesley on this photo. The clock was most reliable. I used it every morning on my way to school.

I went to the brownie group held there in the early sixties.
