Hi, is no. 6 Haworth Art Gallery?
I honestly thought no. 3 was the old Palace Cinema, near the Post Office on Abbey Street |

Ha ha ! I know where no. 6 is now! Its a bit dark, but I think its near where the forensics are at the moment!!!!!! I think it is over the block of property on Church Street, i.e. approx. over the Millennium Kebab shop.
|

|
Re: where are these then
Right No 5 is on the side of ANTLY VILLA the dentist on Blackburn road so now you know
I don't know why its there or what it means though |
Re: where are these then
I think it's the builders mark...if you can find an Accy Trade Directory for around 1890 you'll probably find a builders company with the initials H&B....
|
Re: where are these then
I have just had a thought tealeaf i do now and again he he H&B = Hyndburn Borough?
|
Re: where are these then
Possibly somewhat premature for 1880's or 90's....but the interesting thing is really how many more builders stones are there around & how many of them are the same? I know the Old Queens pub in Church has one with the date - it sticks out a mile - and there are a few more around Church but just as of this moment I just can't place them.
|
Re: where are these then
