They're really good, Garinda.
Thought I would take advantage of you (:D), and step in with a plug for our next History Society lecture. "From Steam Tram to Electric Tram" Accrington Library ... Lecture Room. Thursday, April 19th. 7.30 p.m. Alan Parkin. Alan always has some wonderful slides to show. Will remind people again, of course, nearer the time. |
Re: Trams, Blackburn Road, 1928.
Wonderful photos...Isn't it great when you can look at a photo maybe 90 yrs old or more and recognise the area and appreciate how it has changed and sometimes where it hasnt changed. I look at the pics and see the people and think "I wonder who you were and where did you live, and how old would you be now...100...110....isn't nostalgia a wonderful thing?
