Thank you, my curiosity is now sated...and thank you for sharing your burger with him.
It is kind of you.
I used to feed the kitties regularly when we were on holiday.

They could do with putting on as thumbnails though.

Admittedly the quality is good, but to my mind they seem to be more of a professional effort than the happy snaps most folks put up here, added to that they appeared strewn over numerous threads first thing this morning when I booked in to catch up on the skinny!

Sorry, I haven't quite worked out to do the thumbnail things yet - I will.

To be honest, there's no great mystery or secret to producing 'professional' looking photographs and almost everyone can do it, to take your image from 'happy snaps' to 'professional looking'.

A good lens is useful the one I used for these was £800 3 1/2 years ago (Canon Zoom EF 24-105mm f4L).

Understanding how you camera works and moving beyond simiply setting it to Auto (stuff like depth of field, exposure compensation, Auto Focus Points etc etc).

A lot of practice - I've taken 70,000+ in the 3 years 8 months I've had my DSLR.

Post processing your image once you've taken it - this can included everything from changing from colour to mono, to framing the final image.

A good eye, though is probably the most important, seeing a potential in any subject - not just the most obvious.
