Its just out of Huncoat on the way to Burnley its on the hapton boundary. there is a lay by on the right hand side just before you get to the warehouses that sell animal feeds.

Apologies for today's image... a bit of an experiment using my Laowa 60mm f2.8 2:1 super macro + EP25 Extension Tube and a dead fly...

Oo-er...that is different.
Not keen on the subject matter, but the definition is superb.
Well shot.
I want to click like...but only for the skill in taking the shot.

Thanks, this particular lens is quite difficult to use at best as it's fully manual, even more so using the extension tube, so focusing for this was done using a macro rail on a tripod, the macro rail moves the camera and lens closer or further away in very small increments by turning a dial...

I did try and remove those hairs but couldn't actually see them with the naked eye...

I don't think they take anything away from the picture...and you can't remove what you can't see.

This is Samson.
He has been living in our garage for about a year.
I don't know who he really belongs to, because he never seems to go anywhere.
We feed him, he has a nice bed and toys in the garage...and himself said I was to have no ideas about letting him into the house(especially since we got the kitties)...but I intorduced the kittens to him and Rufus loves him.

Recently, himself said he could come into the house...but Samson does not seem to want to be an indoor cat.
He will come in but only for a few minutes.
He is a lovely cat, but timid and very wary of people he doesn't know.
Yesterday he came in and had a look around the upstairs...sat in the bedroom window and then settled down on our bed for about half an hour(don't worry...I flea treat him too) so I took the opportunity to get some pics of him

Samson is a really nice looking cat, it was good of you to take him in.
We have always had cats and dogs...we were down to one cat, a ginger one called Royce, he is 16 years old.
The first cat we had came from the local pet shop, I went out to do the shopping on a Friday afternoon, and came back with a beautiful grey kitten. Forgot the shopping only bought kitten food, cheese and a baguette. When I finally pulled up outside the door, my husband came out, where the hell have you been, got a surprise. Is it a microwave, no. face dropped, looked in the boot of the car, where's the shopping? Look on the front seat. He said it was the best thing that ever came into the house.

Re: Today in pictures

Like many of our previous cats...he has sort of adopted us.
He has never been thin, so I think he maybe belonged to one of the folk who rented a house in the street and when they went, theyleft him behind(how could you do a thing like that?).there was a family who moved back to Poland...maybe he was theirs...I really don't know.
I feel that he may scrounge food from the workers at Express gifts, but it does not put a dent in his appetite.

Though himself did not want him to come into the house, he now wants him to come in and toast his flanks in front of the log burner.
Maybe he will do...one day.

Bea, the story of your shopping trip is lovely...something I might do.
