PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE UPLOADING TO THE COMPETITION
PLEASE READ THE RULES ON EACH COMPETITION AS THERE MIGHT BE SLIGHT CHANGES FOR A COMPETITION THANKYOU

Each competition will run for 2 weeks, 12 days for uploading photo's and a further 2 days which can be used for voting only.

After the 12 day upload period, voting only will be allowed for 2 days then voting will be stopped.

Anyone can vote, you don't have to enter the competition to be entitled to a vote but it is 1 vote per person.

The winner will get to choose a theme for the next competition.

( You won't need to do anything else, the moderators will create the folder to be uploaded too)
UPLOADING ends at 10pm on the Friday night, you have 48 hours to VOTE (until 10pm Sunday UK time)

The winner then has 12 hours to PM Mick with the next THEME (PLEASE PM DO NOT POST THE NEW THEME ON SITE I COULD MISS IT PM ONLY PLEASE)
if I have not been contacted within this time Mick will pick the Next theme.
In the event of a tie the person who chose the theme will decide on the winner.

upto 5 entries are allowed per person.

Anymore than this will be removed, your 1st 5 uploads will stay - later ones will be removed.

All images must be your own work, Or close family.

Scanned,(from your own photos) digital, phone, video stills are all allowed,
(please don’t use images off the Internet or from magazines or from postcards as we don’t want Accyweb getting into trouble for hosting copyright images).

You will retain copyright of all your images.

No photo's to be removed from the photo competition by any member except mods or admin.

Photo's altered with image editing software will be allowed.

and voting will be allowed up to 22:00pm on Sunday 1st June 2014
NOTE
It would help me if all members that have entered the competition are on line at the closing of the competition,
so i can set the next competition up quickly thank you .
I know its not all ways possible but if you can it would help
I hope you all enjoy and enter some great photos
and we can make this a great success like it was before

Lots of nature based pics in the thread 'Today in pictures'........so it should be and easy theme to fulfil.

Ok - I'm on it! Just phoned hubbie who's grocery shopping to get me some peanuts. I'm going to get that chipmunk if it's the last thing I do :)

If possible I`ll be putting in new pics rather than ones that you might have seen before. Early days yet.:)

I'm getting onto it too - have a few in mind plus a very special one which my aunt has just sent me - taken a few days ago by her - I've asked if she'll let me post it -I think it should just about fit in with the regulations of "close family" if she allows me to use it....that's unless anyone doesn't think it to be correct, in which case I won't post it. I will state that it is taken by her even though our names are practically identical - she has one "n" and I have two!

You have all whetted my appetite now.
I was out and about all day yesterday, but it wasn't very nature oriented......well unless chavs with bare midriffs count.
Anyway, my five are in.
I will sit back now and wait for some belters!

Mick will confirm, I tried hard to get a pic' of a large wasp for this comp' earlier today.
The swine refused to stay still enough for me to focus.

Don't worry Less......there will be plenty more of the blight ears where that came from!

I don't like wasps.....they must have some use, but I am wary of them...they sting for fun.

that should have read Blighters...predictive text(on Ipad)grrr.
Did you know that when a wasp stings you that you produce an 'alarm pheromone' this is to alert other wasps in the area ...and they come and join the fun.

Yes, I think I mentioned something about angry wasps in one of my posts ;)
I'm sure you've heard of apitherapy, Some practitioners use live bee stings to deliver relief from pain amongst other things :confused:

Wasp stings have no therapeutic value, and you can develop a life threatening allergy to them.

Yes.....I thought you could.(but have always put off doing it..life sometimes gets in the way of things that you consider are a mere irritant)
It is something that has happened in e-mails to my family in Oz too. When I hasve read back what the predictive text has come up with it has sometimes made me and my sister(the recipient) giggle...but then we both have a weird sense of humour.

I quite like predictive text, it makes mistakes (sometimes funny like you say) but it learns as it goes. You can also set up funny shortcuts, I've set up on the mrs phone whenever she puts xxx (she puts it at the end when texting the kids) it changes to "ps you smell".

My vote is in.....it was a hard choice. I thought that Frank's dolphin pic was going to be a 'shoe in' .....but the quality and diversity of the pics has been great.
I bet Frank is heaving a sigh of relief.

Thank you Margaret, and those who voted for my photo. There were many really good shots in this competition, and I think the efforts of everyone are just stellar. The level of competition gets raised higher with each Comp. It's become a credit to Accy Web in my humble opinion.

The theme that I have chosen will hopefully appeal to many. Machines can be many things that enhance our lives. They can be wrecks from the past, or beautiful modern objects. Cars, clocks, trains, windmills! I'm putting my 5 in tonight to spark some ideas perhaps. :)

Lovely photo Turtle - even though the rest of the photos were so good this was the one I couldn't go past. Had my vote, a picture of a happy and contented little creature. Very cute.
