My wife doesn't like her photo being taken.

Re: New Photo Competition 60
Take the shadow of her then.....or something else.
Your life would be less rich without Max...he doesn't mind having his picture taken. |

...how would one go about photographing wifi? ;) |
Re: New Photo Competition 60
You could take a picture of a sign that tells you that Wi-fi is available at a particular location...like the Market Hall for instance.
Sometimes you have to be a bit inventive with interpretation of subjects...or use some imagination.......You could photograph a lake, a canal or just puddle to show that life would be difficult if the water were not available.......A high hill top might be suggestive of an airy place...none of us would survive very long without air......or you could picture a huge tree.....aren't trees the lungs of the world. The possibilities are endless if you just put in a little bit of thought. |
Re: New Photo Competition 60

Re: New Photo Competition 60
Flippin Eck Mick , your more important than a competition.Look after yourself.
|
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Mick....as Frank says, your health is much more important that the comp.
Maybe it would be right to put the comp on hold until you are feeling much better.......I think most members would understand. |
Re: New Photo Competition 60
I'm sending healing thoughts your way, Mick. Look after yourself - the Comp. can wait xo
|
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Yes Mick I agree, it is better to get better first, don't worry about the competition until you are cleared by the doctors as fit to play on you roller skates.
|
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Mick, take good care of yourself, have plenty of rest and get well soon. Forget the comp until you are feeling up to it again. Your health is more important than a competition.
|
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Hope you feel better soon Mick,I can wait to win the comp don't worry about it ;)
|
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Thanks for your thoughts
I will put the comp on hold after I have closed this comp tonight sorry till I have my results from my scan I have to go to Blackburn hospital on the 15th for an ultrasound:)no I don't think I am pregnant they do an ultrasound to check for bone density only problem my appointment is at 8.30am:eek: luckily an accywebber has said he would give me a lift to the hospital thanks for understanding |
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Mick....if you ARE pregnant at least you will make a lot of money selling your story and baby pictures to the papers! :)
|
Re: New Photo Competition 60
I should have said.....hope things go well for you Mick, that they get you sorted and that you feel better soon......though I would give Davemacs roller skates a swerve!

As you know I will be stopping the Competitions for a while till I get my back and this pain sorted out
I will start them up again as soon as I can just to say thank you to all that enter them I really enjoy doing this and seeing all the great photos that are put up while the competition is on hold it will give you all a chance to think of new themes and ways of getting other members to join in I am so sorry at having to close the competitions but I am really in a lot of pain at the moment so off to bed thank you all |
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Thank you kind sir.
It is one that I like, but wasn't sure that others would. There have been some good pics in the comp...as always. I haven't been asked to choose a theme for the next comp as Mick is going to suspend the comps until he is feeling better....That makes sense! |
Re: New Photo Competition 60

Take care of yourself Mick. We'll be here for the Comp. when you feel better :) |
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Well done Margaret, perfect subject. Take your time Mick, good health is our most important asset. May be when you feel up to it the next theme could be Hawaii?? What do you think Margaret? Heading out tomorrow for a couple of weeks, camera in hand, no phone no computer, heaven.
|
Re: New Photo Competition 60
You lucky Josser.
If the subject for the next comp was Hawaii, then I would have to look for himselfs lairy board shorts or a flowery shirt. Have fun and get some good shots in. |

There are 2 links in the above reply,so no offence brianbleakley if I ignore those, you could be for all I know the king of scammers..Your `knowledge` however is interesting so please can you let us know a bit about what you are about i.e your Accy background etc in order to advise on the ins and outs of foto apps please.

Re: New Photo Competition 60
Ok, anyone have a strange feeling about these replies to a 2015 thread by someone who has only posted 3 times (their other post consisted of just 'Maybe') and the language used?
Consider this sentence: "The Zsight application finds a way you through all the ways to set it up." It sounds none-human, a bit like the sort of language automated bots use to send spam emails |
Re: New Photo Competition 60
Within the framework of "Unlocking Safety in 8 Hours: The Ultimate Confined Space Training Guide," the blog post proceeds to break down the structure of an effective 8-hour training program. This first section underscores the significance of confined space safety training and its direct impact on workplace wellbeing. It emphasizes that inadequate training can lead to serious consequences, reinforcing the need for proper education.
