Peruvian vampire budgie

As you probably know from a thread that I put in Buy, Sell & Swop I had the chance of getting a rare Peruvian Vampire Budgie, well thank's to Mick for coming across with a cage I was able to get it.

I now seem to have a problem, it was perfectly fine when I picked it up this morning however to allow it time to settle in I went for a couple of pints with Mick this afternoon.

I think there must be something wrong with the bird because since I've been back whenever I go over to the cage and talk to it, it falls off it's perch and lies in the sand waving it's legs in the air. If I move away from the cage it becomes active again and jumps straight onto it's perch.

Have I made a wrong turning somewhere and ended up with the parrot sketch out of Montey Python?

No Willow, the Peruvian gray vampire budgie is mainly blue with gray wings, the reason it is rare is because it is raised exclusively in the Andes by a one armed colour-blind Peruvian who's wife doesn't have the heart to tell him that it isn't completely gray!

Does it talk, Less? - and if so, has it learned English yet? And most interestingly, who do you feed it on?

1/ No, not yet but I am considering asking the bookies to give me odds on it's most likely first phrase. (I've heard the odds a very short on this one....sound of mobile phone ringing, Yep' o.k. Mick I'll see you in the Stag in five minutes.)

2/ I think English will be it's second language, living in the area that I do and now that summer is almost here the only words it will hear filtering through the windows will be Urdu.

3/ It is a pedigree Peruvian grey Vampire Budgie, so, none of yer' common stuff from around here I have Royal blue blood flown in three times a night.

An Open Apology to Mick

Hi Mick, I feel it only fair to apologise to you after all the trouble you went to getting me a cage for My Peruvian Grey Vampire Budgie. If I had found this site sooner:-
Peruvian Grey Vampire Budgie Myths & Legends
(Do not try clicking on the above link in the hours of daylight as it won't work).

I would have discovered earlier that the peruvian grey is a 'free range budgie', and cannot be kept within the confines of a cage.

As I say Mick sorry for all the trouble I put you through, but while I'm posting this may I also take the opportunity of posting the following Advertisement:-

(I know it should really be in buy, sell & swop,
but I can't be bothered to start a new thread).

For Sale
Medium Size Budgie Cage
One careful Owner
(and then I had it)
hardley used,
Excellent condition
(I'm sure the blood won't rust the bars)

Any sensible offer will be ignored!

P.m me any time before dusk as I will be Out from then 'til dawn.

Time wasters will be eaten!

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_3_118.gif LESS after the great expense i paid for the cage
(1 old 8 speed cd rom drive)
instead of selling the budgie cage how about this idea
take the cage cut off the bottom turn the cage upside down and fill it with flowers ie 1 hanging basket..
it would save you having to sell it
