Shopping tips for the ordinary male

To save money when out shopping, always remember the
work colleague who's wife your loved one can't stand,
then when she wants that standard lamp or whatever you
just say, "yes Bill Scroggins was showing me some
photos and that is just like the one his wife bought."

It will be returned to the shelf faster than a
speeding bullet.

If however you want for example a new digital camera &
she has said you can't afford one, you look at the
cheaper range cameras and say, "I know it's only a
cheap end camera but Bill Scroggins wife got him this
model as a surprise gift".

She will then direct you to the higher end of the
cameras and tell you we'll be able to afford it
somehow.

And it works the other way. If there is a dress that is just that bit too expensive say 'I could always buy cheap tat like Bill Scroggins buys for his wife, but you don't want me to look that common do you?'

Or, if you're trying to discourage him from buying the top of the range digital camera 'I'm sure you'd be able to take better pictures than Bill Scroggins even with a cheaper camera, you're so much cleverer than he is'.

Not quite the same thing Gayle, for a partnership to work no man should be put in a position of making a decision about his ladies clothing because he knows that whatever help/support/advice he gives it will somehow be turned into severe criticism, that road leads to breakups!

If you thought Bill Scroggins wife had bought her man a camera, there is no way on earth you would try to dissuade your man from getting the best one, (anything to get one over on 'that bl**dy b*tch!').

Less surely nobody falls for that, the best thing to do is reduce the price, or better still shuv it in the wardrobe and pretend you've had it for ages!
