Moneys Worth
This could be an old one but thought I's share it anyway, being the sort of person who turns the shampoo bottle upside down I like to get my moneys worth. Anyway, last week thought I'd squeezed all I could out of a tube of moisturiser, thought I'd check and cut the end off it, 14 applications later I'm still using it, I reckon I'll get another 3 days out of it yet as well, how good is that!;)

Re: Moneys Worth
I've been snipping the tops off moisturiser tubes for years. You can normally get at least 2 weeks worth of use out of them. It comes in handy if it's an expensive one like Clarins, Lancome or ROC.
I've even been known to re-cycle my old work tights. If you have 2 pairs of tights, each having ladders in one leg. Cut off the laddered legs, put the 2 gussets together and thread the good leg off one pair through the other gusset. Your tights last longer and 2 gussets keep you warm in winter....:D |
Re: Moneys Worth
Good tip for the tights Lettie but even I'm not that tight!:p

Re: Moneys Worth
I put all the bits of soap into one of those net bags(the ones that you are supposed to put washing detergent tablets in) and hang under the bath tap.....so I get a bubbly bath from the bits.
Another use for those detergent tablet bags...... they are ideal for keeping your loose change in. I thought that I was the only one to do this, but recently saw another lady in the bank with the same idea. It saves straining the clasp on your purse. |

I have it to do Grego... I am determined that I will be retiring at 55, failing that, only working 10 hours a week. How else can I do that if I don't get my money's worth out of stuff..:D |
Re: Moneys Worth
Good point Lettie, I'll probably still be working when I'm 65.
|
Re: Moneys Worth
Yeah maybe Grego, but it will be because with that posh moisturiser you'll still only look 45.

Re: Moneys Worth
I think it'll take more than moisturiser Margaret! Just used the last of it tonight anyway, the tube was bone dry:)
