How much is a life worth?

I can tell you now I've just found out that a life costs:-

NOTHING!

The reason why life is so cheap? Because to save a life you can have the fire brigade come and install a fire alarm for no charge, all you have to do is get in touch with your local brigade and when they have a spare moment they will come and fit one FREE!
They came to me this afternoon very pleasant, very quick, and all they ask is that once a month you check that it's still operating.

If you don't have an alarm you have no excuse to put off getting one fitted, we all put off what is sensible but, it's free we have no excuse now!
So get them round and save yourself and others grief!!!!!!

It's a brilliant service, they did my dad's a few months back.

Just think all you ladies out there, you won't find a better reason to get all them men in uniform into your house and not have your husband complaining.

I have an upstaires and downstairs alarm fitted running from the mains with batery backup. Also have a carbon monoxide alarm as well as I have a gas central heating/water boiler something else I believe a home with gas boilers fires etc should have fitted.

The ones the fire brigade fit have a battery that should last a minimum of 10 years so I think I can put up with the 'silly beeping' that will happen now and again (it's got to be better than the roasting I could have as an alternative).

I know you are all talking about fire alarms etc. But in response to the title of the thread I would have to say that life, at least in my experience, is worth very little!

Well, I could go into details, but, I do not think that I want to do so at the minute!

In the meantime I will just stick to my pills and carry on as I have being for the last few years! At the prsent I see little point in doing anything else!
