pointing flags in you garden
 
who's done this,
and when you done it what ratio of mix cement/sand etc, and was it a wet or dry mix...??

Hubby did ours he used ratio of 3 to 1 and he says preferably wet mix, hope this helps

I read this and thought you wanted to know how to get your flag to point out nicely from it's pole.

Best way to do it IMO is to mix accordingly (3 to 1) heap it on to the flags and use a brush to spread it in to the spaces and then go over it with a watering can, not too much water but enough that you get all the pointing moist.

That sounds a lot quicker than pointing with a wet mix.

I have genuine sand stone flags :p in my back yard. Some b*****d concreted over them though.

coming from glasgow I have always know them as slabs but since I came down here they have been known as flags..???
