Why????
Why do they always put the lids on things so tight that you cant open them?
I've just had to open a new jar of coffee and i couldnt get the lid open! I kept on trying to unscrew it but no wouldnt flipping move! In the end i gave up and stabbed at it with a knife and tried again still wouldnt move. So stabbed the knife in a bit further moved it around and near enough cut myself and tried to undo it again. That time it though i managed to open it. But why tighten the lids so tight that you cant undo them. At least there is a bit on the top otherwise the coffee would have been everywhere by the time i'd undone it. But its not just coffee its everything and no im not a weakling - i can normally undo stuff but it seems that it is getting harder to undo them. |

I have a jar/bottle opener I bought from Kleen-eze years ago. I'd be lost without it.
They still sell them. |

Re: Why????
One of the things that annoys me most is buying a tin of corned beef and forgetting to check if it has one of those key things stuck to the side. The times I´ve done it!!
A bit of a clue for jam and pickle jars is to bang the lid with a spoon, really hard, works every time. |
Re: Why????
or just bang the lid on a work surface
|
Re: Why????
or just smash the bloody jar in temper!!! hmm yes I have done that before!!:o
