Re: Rubbish/Christmas Cards
Just been advertised on TV that Tesco's are accepting old Christmas cards for recycling, and that last year they collected a hundred tonnes of them.

Re: Rubbish/Christmas Cards
As greeting cards are my profession...... they should really go in with paper - the board that most cards are made from is between 220-320gsm and is a "clean" board/paper, ie when recycled will produce a much higher standard of paper/board - and more profit for the companies involved
Whereas cardboard (the brown stuff ) is a much greater gsm and is already, in 99% of cases already made from poor quality recycled paper/board - it is not fit to make anything other than more cardboard Hope that helps - boy do I need a beer...............!!!!!! |
Re: Rubbish/Christmas Cards
Eeew, thanks for that MickMc, will print that one out in case I get fined in the future to show them the expert guidance. Hadn't put them in any actually, couldn't make my mind up, however, if I had put in the cardboard one ... don't think would have known anyway.
The bag I put cardboard in was last seen through my rear view mirror following me as I set off for work .. that windy day if you remember ... :D Plus the cans kept me awake all night as the blue box had tippled over and dislodged the blue bag, and I led there listening to them rolling around ... must have seemed a funny sight with me hoody jacket to cover my wet hair at dusk trying to retrieve them all :o They never gave me my blue bag back either ! Willow: wish I were so entreprising, but not got the drive anymore ..used to do this when I was little and lovely when you can personalise your cards more I know. |
