My new square plate

Have eaten once or twice off a square plate in hotel restaurants and always thought was a great idea.

Bought one couple of weeks ago at Asda .. never looked backed, gravy don't slop over the edges, more room for the trimmings, mathematically more area e.g. garlic bread, can arrange buffets more orderly .. love it £2.50 each, bit of a sh*tty brown colour, but who cares, have a new way of eating now that has changed my life .. :D

Who decided plates should be round in the first place anyway.

Yes, but with a square ones, could you balance forty of them on top of poles, and keep them spinning?

My first convert, and a woman with a sensible son.

They fit on your lap too so much easily .. even if you have succumbed to a little distended tum.. can fit the corner in one of the folds .. soooo practical ... :D

Re: My new square plate

Thinking about it they will be much more easily stored, than conventional ones.

No wasted corners in cupboards for dust to settle.

I think round ones are more popular because they are easier to make.

I don't think they make square potter's wheels.:D

Only trouble i found was when my son roped me into washing up and they dont sit in the strainer too well
