Re: Need to fit an outside tap
If you have a cold water pipe somewher suitable then these kits that clamp to it and cut a hole themselves work well. I did one ~ 7 years ago and its still fine.(Its in our laundry bit so not outside so I just run teh hosepipe out through teh door.)

Re: Need to fit an outside tap
Did one of them about 10 years ago and pipe blew last winter.
Got a new kit but couldn't et tap to fit right. Tried to adjust pipe length and cocked it up so now looking to fit a proper pipe from the tap indoors through the hole that I have and put new tap there but I'm not too good at soldering or plumbing hence the cry for help LOL :Banane45: |
Re: Need to fit an outside tap
Ours is a bendy pipe thing done with one of those kits. It is outside the kitchen wall and so far has survived the winters.

Re: Need to fit an outside tap
As said before, cold water pipe, near the sink, call a plumber, £35-40 call out and £20 for the job.
Call me, know a lad, £30. Job done... |
