What Do You Do?

My mate has just had a major bust up with her hubby. She turned up at my place around one o'clock this morning and I gave her a coffee and a brandy. After half an hour she insisted on going home. Five minutes later she was back because the bad git had locked her out.
She's now fast asleep in my spare room and I'm wide awake!!
It's so difficult because I love them both to bits. I can't really say too much about him because I know that they will be the best of friends tomorrow.
Flippin' heck!!

Sounds like you did just right Junetta. Opening up your house twice to your friend and just being there. I do hope they caan get a handle on these types of situations before tha=ey turn violent!

You did just right June in letting her have somewhere safe to stop till things calm down. Its a lose-lose situation if you take sides just try to be friends to both and hope they can sort themselves out soon.

I say the same. It's difficult being in the middle of something but all you really can do is be there and not take sides.

You did exactly the right thing...as everyone else says too.
Just be there for them...that's about all you can do.

Well, I'm sorry, will be in the minority here I know, but having suffered the intrusion of friends in the past due to their 'tiffs' and a night's sleep ruined on many occasions, have now hardened to this state of affairs and would have boxed her ears and sent her home.

Different, of course, if he is a wife beater etc., but sounds all very churlish to me, and feel you should be cruel to be kind here... sorry ... :(
