Ladies only .....
I bought a new lipstick the other day and as you do when i got home tried it out. This was on a Tuesday. Maxfactor lipfinity, which is one of these a liptint and then a separate lipgloss after. I made my tea and eat it, drank numerous brews and smoked a few cigarettes as well. When i went to bed at 2am it was still there. So scrubbed at it with makeup remover washed my face and went to bed. Got up next morning dived in the shower, ironed my uniform and went to brush my hair - the lipstick was STILL there. Scrubbed at it again with makeup remover, had my breakfast went to work and one of receptionists said how come you wearing makeup? STILL there. In fact by the time i came home at 8pm it was still there after eating, drinking brews. So if you want a lipstick that stays i'll recommend that one.:D

How many times did you reapply the top coat? That always makes me laugh when I see it on adverts, in small print it says - top coat may need to be reapplied. Surely, if you need to reapply the top coat that's like putting more lippy on? |
Re: Ladies only .....
Is it really edible? (because you can't avoid eating some)

Re: Ladies only .....
I have a mayballine (sp) one, and that is just as good. It only needs applying once, and it stays all day.
It's similar to yours Jen, apply colour, then another white stick to go over the top of the colour. |
Re: Ladies only .....
I buy make up in ethel austins and its a bargain compared to prices from superdrugs and its all near enough branded, rimmel, maxfactor l'oreal etc...

Re: Ladies only .....

Re: Ladies only .....
OOps missed one -
Information on Parabens, Butylparaben, Propylparaben - Parabens Parabens are also known to have mild oestrogen-mimicking properties, and a study in 2004 from Reading University found higher than average levels of parabens in breast tumour tissue. They have also been linked to damage to sperm production in males. |

Re: Ladies only .....
The cheap lippies are always better at staying on than the expensive ones.
The best ones are those that come free on the covers of magazines. They won't come off even with a brillo pad and vim. The only downside is that they come in some strange colours. |
Re: Ladies only .....
I have a mental block now..... What was that clear stuff called that we used to smear over our lipstick in the late 80's/early 90's???? It may be something like Lipcote, but I'm not 100% sure. For those of you who don't remember it, it tasted foul and made your lips sting when you applied it. It would keep your lipstick on for days though...:D
|
Re: Ladies only .....
you can still get lipcote... think they sell it on burnley market, on the makeup stall:D

OMG!!!! I think I'll give it a miss . I do remember having to keep your mouth open when you applied it and I remember that it tasted vile, it may as well have been nail polish. |
Re: Ladies only .....
It only stung at first. Once it was dry if you applied more that didn't sting. What the heck was in it?
