useless advice

what is the most useless, strangest piece of advice you had ever been given... when my son was younger an older relative told me that i should stop breast feeding as it would turn him into one of those children that burn down bus stops:confused:

Eat your carrots so then you dont need glasses - eat my carrots and still ended up wearing glasses!!!
