what should i do?
OK, Tys op is on tuesday and he hasnt to eat after 2am.. the problem is, Ty eats like a horse!! he also hasnt to drink more than an egg cup full of water after 7am.. i dont think i am gunna wake him up, just carry him in his jamas to the car because he will want breakfast if he is woken up... do you think i should wake him at about midnight and feed him? They have no idea what time he will have the op, the younger children will go first and the nurse said there's couple of children with extra problems that will be before tyler...He is not very good at being hungry!!!

Re: what should i do?
When my little lad had the op he was 3 years old the first time. I just took him in his pj's to the hospital.
They will then ensure that he doesn't have anything to eat or drink. There will be that much going on he won't bother about it. There will be no food or drink on the ward to tempt him. Personally I wouldn't wake him at midnight, but that's just my personal opinion . Your right in that the youngest go first, but he will go down before dinnertime so please don't worry. |
Re: what should i do?
Em just give him something extra to eat before going to bed, this is going to sound stupid but maybe some ready brek or porridge, then he will have a full tummy for longer, its known to be a slow energy releaser anyway
