Re: bees wax

Beeswax furniture polish for woodworking and finishing
Beeswax
Beeswax
Chain Bridge Honey Farm - Natural Honey and Beeswax Products - Berwick Upon Tweed - UK
I think that DIY stores may well sell it too

Re: bees wax

I used to keep bees until I became allergic to the stings and had to give them up. now if I get stung its a blue light job.
What do you want it for, on its own you can only make candles, but mixed with the right proportions of pure turpenine and carnuba wax, it will make furniture polish.

Try Blackburn and District Beekeepers website.

Walter.

Re: bees wax

Golden oil would do the job better than wax - plenty for sale on ebay

Restore4 Golden Oil WOOD Restorer / Cleaner / Polish on eBay, also, Cleaning Products Supplies, Cleaning, Laundry Vacuuming, Home Garden (end time 13-Apr-08 18:03:35 BST)

Re: bees wax

The only way to revive dry wood is with linseed oil, that what I use on gun stocks, its also used on cricket bats, or try Teak oil. Beeswax will just seal it and the wood will still be dry.
