Pain relief
For many years I've suffered from chronic back pain, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis of the spine in 1990, due to the use of oral steroids, I have tried lots of things for pain relief, I do have DF118s as a back up but don't like using them too much. I've used magnats which do work to an extent, and in the early 90s started using Tens units which are very effectie bu very har to use if the pain is i your back and you live alone. Since then I've moved onto ENM deeptens therapy, which delivers pain relief through the spine and is very easy to use, by attaching two pads one at the top of the spine and one half way down, this is for pain anywhere in the body, except the head, then you attach the pads at each side of the neck, and it does work. The Firm I deal with is called Remedi and is based in Blackburn, and I've just got a new unit from them this morning, they are a bit more expensive than ordinary tens but they are well worth it.

Re: Pain relief
I have a bad back as well (crushed L1) and badly damaged muscles. I find accupuncture works well along with deep muscle massage.
I've just started going to Yvonne up at Baxenden physio and sports injury clinic and shes very good. No pussy footing around which is exactly what is needed. |
Re: Pain relief
I've never found tens to be particularly effective for me. I suppose people must vary. Acupuncture has helped a lot though.
