Man v Duvet v Duvet Cover

One King-size duvet, one medium size man, one King-size duvet cover. How the hell do you do it single headedly without taking 20mins. I get depressed just thinking of having to do it. It’s the one task I hate with a vengeance. ( If I had any, this job would get right on 'em ) :(

Any tips on how to do it in a fast efficient manner on your own :confused:

Let the Mrs do it, looks easy :D
She rolls the cover up her arms (inside out I think) the gets hold of the duvet at the corners and just shakes it down, seems to work but I haven't tried it :D

Re: Man v Duvet v Duvet Cover

This works:-

Take 4 large, spring-fastening clothes pegs. Push the duvet into the top end of the duvet cover. Line up the top of the duvet along the seam and anchor it with the clothes pegs (1 at each corner and 2 spaced between), then just pull the cover down to the bottom of the duvet and fasten it. Remove the pegs before sleeping (or you'll get one up your nose).

:)

I haven’t tried the peg thing , has to be an aid.

Top tip about removing the pegs lol but I’m not a complete amateur :D

With luck we can both benefit from this thread then ;)

Haha..I thought the thread title said Man U duvet cover at first...thought you were flogging one! :D

You need to put the corners of the duvet into the corners of the duvet cover and hold on tight to them...then you can just shake it down.

Long arms would be useful. I'm no gorilla but this is how I manage it.

I think when I read this post it appeared double and for some reason thought it was about a Man Utd Duvet....Had another drink of my favourite tipple...and realised I'd got it wrong....I was just about to suggest what you do with the Man Utd Duvet...then I had another.
Know where your coming from...and good luck.;)

I have to stand on the bed and try shaking it to the floor but I'm still not far enough off the ground, 2 foot of duvet is still on the carpet :D

If you insist on doing it this way, shake it over the bannister rail (assuming you've got one).

Not insisting I do it any way apart from the easiest most pain free way. Not clear how I would secure it at the top by the bannister while I went half way down the stairs to pull the bottom bit down.

I think I need a maid :D:D

Re: Man v Duvet v Duvet Cover

I do it inside out too. Start with the cover inside out and hold onto the corners. Then grab the top corners of the duvet through the cover. Shake the cover down over the duvet and then when it gets to the bottom give it a good shake. You don't have to have long arms just don't let go of the top corners. If something doesn't quite fall into place I have been known to crawl inside and straighten it out. :D

You have to be ill to warrant a bed bath:D
And if you want your 'bits and bobs' to be shiny we can arrange that for you(it just takes a bit more ajax and wire wool):D

No problem with that Margaret...Shower daily...have too...I'ts bloody hot out here.
My bit's and bobs are clean but US.
Ill....don't want any of that thanks.
Life goes on.
A big Swedish blonde running up and down my back would help....where do you find one of them?
Don't say Sweden....bin down that road.:p

Oh.....how sad......not sad that you aren't ill, but sad that you don't need the services of Lettie and Margaret to do your bedbath.
I had packed the ajax and the wire wool.....was just checking my passport was valid.....and the next bit of the plant was to get in touch with Lettie to find out when she was free.
We would have jetted off.....and been by your side in just a few hours......ready for action:D

You and Lettie could do a show for channel 4....like Kim and Aggie did with 'How clean is your house?'

You could call it 'How clean are your bits?' :D

You travel up and down the country assessing the honky bits of the nation's filth offenders and scrubbing them up using your ajax and wire wool.

I'd watch you. :D
