Are You As Bored As I Am?
Does anyone else suffer with boredom the way I do. I have lots of hobbies which are very diverse and I'm still bored out of my head. Any suggestions for a new hobby or diversion. I'm banging my head on the wall with frustration. Some of the things I've done today are: Baking, Painting, Reading a full book, Writing Poetry, Repairing jewellery, De-fleaing the cat & dog, playing poker & online games, watching my other half play poker, updating Facebook, being on here sticking my penny in and cleaning the house/yard. Even the pigeons are complaining because the kitchen roof is too clean.

I love gardening, just my arm won't do it. Blasted nuisance really. I have a rescue poodle who likes nothing better than digging holes in soil though :D |
Re: Are You As Bored As I Am?
We've already got 2 cats who could probably give your poodle a run for his money with digging :D

Ooh you haven't met a poodle like this one. Stupid thing thinks he's a cat. Copies everything my cat does right down to using the litter tray. That's the problem of rescuing nuerotic animals and I've rescued loads over the years. |
Re: Are You As Bored As I Am?
I am unable to get out much these days but I'm never bored, I find plenty of things to occupy me from the internet to crosswords, reading, TV ect

This is a serious answer .... GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!!! Swap all those activities (I wouldnt call de-fleaing the cat a hobby) and swap them for one thing that gets you out of the hosue and your problem will be solved :) |

As long as it is fine in the morning I intend to cut some grass in the park. I might even do my own lawn first :) |

It wasn't de-fleaing as such. I just like to go through his fur and he loves it and I certainly get immense satisfaction from feeling his fur. I do get out of the house (neighbours and I regularly play card & board games), but I still feel bored. Must admit I don't sleep very long (4 hours average) so I have to do lots of things. My mind is far too active I think.:D |

I lost my job recently and I'm looking for another job, but it's not easy when you have spondylosis. It is noticable when you can't use your arm and you fall over fresh air, so I can't hide it like I used too. |

I suffer from Polymyalgia rheumatica which if treated early can be cured in a couple of years. However it took 22 years to find out the problem so I am stuck with it.:(:( |
Re: Are You As Bored As I Am?
I have spondylitis in all 7 neck joints. (verified by xray)
I have/had 2 numb fingers on my left hand which the doc said was a nerve damaged by being trapped in those neck joints. The doc was WRONG! I have embarked on self therapy using nutritional supplements and the damaged nerve is healing. My ring finger is now almost normal and the little finger has some sensation now. |
