Asda grocery deliveries
If you get internet grocery deliveries you are probably already aware that Asda gives you free delivery if you use an Asda credit card for an over £99 spend.
There are also voucher websites with the codes to enter to get free delivery from Asda. What you may NOT know is that if you use both a voucher and credit card for the same order, both work. So Asda deliver free and give you cashback at the delivery price I thought it might have been a computer glitch at their end, but it has worked twice for me:D |
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
Never had me food delivered by asda, i like to choose fresh food of the shelves ;)
Good tip though margaret;) Karma sent....ya now got 100 Rep power....:D |

LOL......when you do online grocery shopping you still get fresh food from the shelves. They don't just send you products that have fallen on the floor. :D:D |
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
not from the shelves in the supermarket Lilly? but fresh from the storeroom shelves, think panther wants to see the stuff first.:D;) we did a first buy from tesco online the other week n was well pleased with the gear.:)
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
on the plus side at least it wont have been groped by many people finding the one they want
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
what do you get up to in the supermarket??
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
i dont lol, i just pick up what looks ok but theres many a time ive stood there waiting to get what i want while people are feeling everything in the box before they find the right one lol
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
I prefer Tesco to Asda but they aren't offering free deliveries like they used to.
Now the Tesco voucher codes which I find online, give a (low rate) of clubcard points only. Tesco has a much better organic range too, but the free delivery with a cash refund from Asda was just too tempting to avoid |
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
im gunna be watching you next time i see you at asda lol
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
If they get the food from the store room, then why do they walk around the store with a trolley and fill up?
I always get my fresh stuff from the back of the shelf, not at the front....i like to choose me own grub;) |

Re: Asda grocery deliveries
I have used a few different ones... all have been really good: however I don't buy in bulk these days. But it if you need a big stress free shop its the way to go
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
My only gripe is that they sometimes send you short dated stuff without flagging it up when you order it, it's a little late when you get the stuff out the fridge and see the date! Maybe I should be more thorough in checking it when it arrives but you would expect more than 2 days on a tub of houmous!
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
what the hell is houmous? sounds disgusting.
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
Chick pea paste/pate
I think this would be safe for a few days after sell by date because it has no meat content |

Re: Asda grocery deliveries
Just a slight wonder, saw an Iceland Delivery Van on our car park this morning, it said FREE DELIVERY ON, I think there must be minimum spend before they deliver
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
yeah, its £25 jaysay, i go down into town after ive dropped ty at school and choose the shopping then they deliver it to my house between 11 and 1 and the nice man puts it in my kitchen for me :D much easier than getting a taxi at the mo
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
I webbrowsed to find this
DELIVER - Iceland It appears that you go to a store, show them a 'bonus card' and they will keep your stuff in its frozen state until the delivery time. This is a lesser service than other stores offer and not one that would suit me. It is many years since I was in an Iceland store and came out buying nothing. If you want to survive on pizza and potnoodles you may find it OK:rolleyes: |
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
we dont eat pizza and pot noodles margaret, i like the cook from frozen meat and they sell fruit and veg as well

We use it sometimes and have rejected items close to the sell by date before that I would not have picked up if I had been in store personally. |

As an experienced internet grocery shopper of many years standing
I advise you to always select 'no substitutes' or strange items may get delivered this thread shows some real howlers What's the strangest "substitute" item you've been offered on your home delivery? - MoneySavingExpert.com Forums |
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
that threads great!!

Re: Asda grocery deliveries
I wont use Asda home delivery, they don't give the employee 10% discount online so it's always worth the 5 minute walk down the road to buy food in store. :D

Re: Asda grocery deliveries
Just a warning for anyone that ever considers the Asda Smart Price Iron (£3.87) - don't bother unless your happy to dry your clothes again afterwards.
The design of it is naff & it sloshes water all over the place in use. It needs a cork! Still, it ironed my shirt before I took it back :D |
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
For £3.87, I'm surprised it even warmed up!!
|
Re: Asda grocery deliveries
Oh it worked well apart from that, 1600w, ss soleplate just as good as more expensive ones.
Just crappy drainage problem :D |
