Mobile phones and baby oil

i've had an accident with my mobile, i've accidently knocked a bottle of baby oil over and some of the oil got in my phone, now the screen has gone all oily on the inside...any ideas how i can get it off or is my phone destined for mobile heaven?

Re: Mobile phones and baby oil

is it teh actual screen of just behind teh plastic screen that protects teh 'real' screen underneath. if the latter just take it to a phone shop and ask them to take teh cover off and clean it up.

the oil leaked in from the back of the phone Ian so i'm assuming its the back screen

Providing you dont try anything silly like turning it on.... it should be possible to strip it down, clean the oil out, clean the phone dry & reassemble it.
