Re: Free energy meter and standby saver (over£50 worth!!)
I think it means that "if your not on benefits you cant have one" where if you are then you can. :D
I used my community charge number as I was unemployed at the time, & my mo in laws pension no to get her one. Because these are all mains powered, I wonder if power use is actually going down? |
Re: Free energy meter and standby saver (over£50 worth!!)
I had to submit my British Gas account number, maybe that is the reason for refusal. For non BG customers.

Re: Free energy meter and standby saver (over£50 worth!!)
When I looked after Melbourne House I was responsible for all the annual budgets except salaries.
Monitoring fuel consumption was part of that, and making savings meant that I could spend some on nice things like house plant displays.:) I got into the habit of reading my meters, at home too, weekly, (but that lapsed to monthly, and now only quarterly, because i got lazy:o) Whenever I buy an electrical appliance I consider its energy rating as a factor in deciding. I don't think that having one of these meters will benefit me because I know I make all the savings I reasonably can. (I even have a solar powered/wind up bedside radio:D) It plugs in - so will only increase fuel consumption - where's the sense in that:confused: |
