Mouthwash and oral thrush

For the last few days i have been being sick a lot and didn't know why, i noticed a large red lump right at the back of my tongue so i decided to go and get it checked out, went to the docs yesterday and saw the nurse practitioner and she told me it was oral thrush, then she asked me if i used mouthwash, which i do, twice a day after brushing my teeth.

Apparently mouthwash causes thrush, yes it kills some bad bacteria but it also kills good bacteria so the bad bacteria that is left takes over causing thrush....so beware if you use mouthwash, it aint good for your mouth

Don't hold your breath in hopes on that one Maggie, Oh, hang on though if you aren't using an effective mouthwash perhaps for the sake of others you should.

Never been to the Doc's for either.

It's just that when I want to see a Doctor I want to see a real Doctor.
