Free "Green" Gadgets!!

Just been browsing and found this,
Free 'green' gadgets available to Lancashire residents

www.freegreengadgets.co.uk/home/lancashire

If its free and it saves money on my bills then I am in!!! :D
Thought other accy-webbers might want to try these products out, I cant comment on how well they work as I have only just logged me details but hopefully might be well worth it, Promo code is LANCASHIRE :D

I got one of those Lime plugs recently.
I'm not on any benefits so didn't expect to qualify for one, but they did send one.
I find it great to control my TV - never tempted to use standyby now, because I can switch it off completely without leaving my chair.
It is saving MY energy which matters most to me ;)

I didnt think I was going to get one either as I am not on any benifits so was quite surprised when it came up that one is on its way to me!! I am very conscious of how much energy that we use in our house, I am always winding the "other half" up switching sockets off all over the house!!! :D;):D

Well Alan at least your doing your bit like me trying to cut the waste down :) I think its a good idea to give them away free because not many people would fork out £20 for these including me!!! :D

If you have your TV/DVD/VIDEO/WII plugged into a extension lead like I do then plug the extension into this then you have 1 light rather than 4!!!!! :D:p:D

As for the water thing I have ordered one but dont know exactly how it will save you 70% water???

It behaves in a similar way to how the planners have cocked up Blackburn Road, it creates a bottleneck and reduces the flow.
:D

It costs nowt to put a brick in your toilet cistern and to turn the lights off when not using them.

(except for the cost of a brick and the energy getting off thy backside & walking to the switch).

The problem with these plugs is that if they work by remote control, you lose the RC and end up leaving it turned on. Or someone plugs the iron into the extension lead you have on it and blows it into landfill land :D

He doesn't mind coming on here even though he isn't part of the 'clique', (notice the spelling Matty), after all, the site he called us and accyweb on is miles away from here and we'll never find out.
