Do you need to pay council tax on a residential propertly that isnt occupied?

Don't quote me, but I think you're allowed 6 months free of council tax...think you best get in touch with the town hall on that one :confused:

I think you're correct there , but there may be a clause in the rules relating to whether it's furnished or not . I'm unsure about it .

Just rung the council , if its under " Major Renovation" its exempt for 12 Months :D
