General Purpose Slow Cooker Recipe

1/ look in larder for anything you have had there for over 3 years.
2/ Do the same with freezer.
3/ go to fridge remove half rotten vegetables and trim to a size suitable to fit slow cooker.
4/ Empty all packets & tins into cooker.
5/ Cover with just enough water.
6/ Switch cooker to SLOW setting.
7/Go pub for 6 hours.
8/ Come home, empty slow cooker into kitchen bin & order Pizza or Indian take away.

Delicious.

:)

Great thing about slow cookers - they are actually better with cheap, tough meat.

Put your veg in a couple of hours before cooking finishes - not at the start. Put more liquid in the pot than you would if you were cooking it normally.

Good if you have a child with... exotic... tastes.

spud pie
curry
broth
pot roast

Its true about the tougher cuts of meat but I've noticed that they aren't cheap any more, shin used to be < £1/lb but now its dearer than some stewing steak.
