The thing about fire and flour is a red herring.....what Sm_Counsell was advocating was to put a burned hand into a bag of flour.....so she wasn't saying to put a fire out with it, she was saying treat a burn in this manner........and while it wouldn't do any harm to do as is advised, I don't think it would do much good either.

Where the confusion about fire arose was in the person who said he was a Vitnam veteran who had seen flour used to put a fire out on a blazing man...something entirely different.
