New laptop screen needed
 

My lovely son has just tripped over the laptop wire and managed to send the laptop flying causing the screen to totally naff up on it, The laptop is turning on and booting up just fine but we just can't see anything, does anyone know where i can get a new one fitted that isn't going to cost me the earth? HELP!!!!

Best to test it first by pluging it in to a monitor, it may sound like its booting up etc, but is it.
I'm asking a question you won't like, but why wasn't the hazard of trailing cables spotted before the disaster happened.

Thankyou Walter, i had just plugged the laptop in to watch a film on it, Reece knew it was plugged in but being blonde he tripped over it anyway....... We have had it plugged into a monitor (thankyou Neil) and it is working fine, it is definately just the screen, i shall be more careful with wires in future Mr H

The place in Robin Bank Rd in Darwen or the computer shop in Rishton. Have had good service from both of them.

try MPC on union rd, ossy. Its the shop oppostite howarth st, just up from the lights, they did our laptop screen when ours gave up. Cost 60 quid, others quoted 100 plus. open all hours give them a call 393288.

finally got a new one fitted for £45 (including fitting) at Mill Computers in Blackburn (just off Darwen Street), only took him 20 minutes to do it, i'd recommend him to anyone
