I got one asking for mr ***** .... i said theres no one here of that name .. which is true then they said can we speak to mrs ***** i said where she is there is no telephone number ..... but you can write to her ....... i said its grave **** in st johns ... oh im sorry to have bothered you ....... another one one night rang and my brother was here asking to speak to mr ***** i said just hang on .... gave the phone to my brother and he said i dont live here ... what do i want with windows ... and put the phone down ... I dont get that many phone calls now ....... i wonder why?:D:D:D

Well I signed up to the prefered callers list many moons ago and get very few these days, mostly american pre-recorded blurb saying how lucky I am, any others I just say you shouldn't be ringing me I'm on prefered callers list, they soon hang up

I'm currently holding a 'Nuisance telephone call championships'. Its turning my usual tea-time (Why are they always when your having your tea?) disturbance into a bit of fun. I answer the phone and for one minute show great interest until I tell whoever that there is somebody at the door and I unfortunately will have to put them on hold for a short moment to answer it. The caller who lasts the longest will win although what they will win I have yet to decide.

The current leader is Npower with a whopping 6 minutes and 37 seconds.
