Mechanicary advice sought!

Help please!

Having suffered my third puncture in as many weeks I think the nuts on my wheel are about to round off.

Does anyone have, or does such a thing exist, something that can provide an extra tight grip on the nuts?

I'm not sure if it is just the wheel brace that is old and kaputo or whether it is actually the nuts.

Walking to Whitebirk tomorrow for work is looking likely ....

gator grip io think they are called

personally i have a socket set and a torque wrench but if you want something as a one purpous that grips a gator grip may be an option

personally i would go to the scrap yard and grab a few new nuts for a few quid or halfords and buy a socket and wrench to fit

Problem sorted for now, thanks anyway guys

A new socket eventually sorted as the combination of an old socket and an old nut (both wearing off) wasn't working. I'll order some nuts I just hope that I can get the old ones off again!

Is it the same wheel every time, if its the same wheel, some body''s deliberately spiking your wheels, wheel nuts shouldn't round off if the corecct size of brace is used.

those gator grips are useless, the pins break as you are by definition pushing them against their natural strength.

Tyre places have a special "socket" that is effectoively a cone shape with sharp teeth spiralling out of the cone, This "bites" into the nut and removes them but does destroy them in the process. They use them a lot when people lose teh locking wheel nut keys :D

Are you tightening the wheel nuts to much? A lot of people do, its worth checking what torque your wheel nuts should be and using a torque wrench to do them. You would get a feel for how tight they should be then.

You are welcome to call round and use mine to check them if you dont have one.
